Whether you have recently adopted a pet or you are considering it, one of the most important health decisions you will make is to spay or neuter your cat or dog. Spaying a cat or dog is a routine veterinary procedure performed under general anesthesia that usually requires minimal hospitalization and a quick recovery time. Spaying is removing the ovaries and uterus of a female pet and offers lifelong health benefits. Neutering is the removing the testicles of your male dog or cat and will vastly improve your pet's behavior and keep him close to home. Read the TOP TEN REASONS TO SPAY/NEUTER.
Now that you know WHY it is so important, click on your area's link for the coupon:
When you call the vet, be sure to tell them you are using the Oregon Spay/Neuter coupon. Be sure to ask the vet about any additional services that may be required such as pain medication and flea control so you are aware prior to your appointment. Present the coupon to the vet to receive the price listed on the coupon.
If your pet is pregnant, we will pay any additional cost to terminate the pregnancy (most coupon vets
do not charge this fee). Every litter hurts and adds to the overpopulation explosion so please plan to
spay your cat or dog, even if she is pregnant.
It is possible to spay or neuter puppies and kittens as young as 8 weeks of age. If
your pet has had a litter, please contact us for advice about altering prior to finding homes for the offspring.
We can also help with options to alter any you plan to keep.
When you do call the vet, if the vet requires you to have a certain vaccination, flea control, etc. to get
the pet spayed or neutered, and you cannot afford this, please contact us immediately so that we can take care of this.
- If transporting your pet to the vet is a problem, call us to see if we can assist you. There are several other spay/neuter programs available if this coupon price is more than you can afford, so don’t hesitate to call us so that we can help you. There are programs that will work for any budget, including a program that pays the entire cost for qualified low income individuals. It is our mission to help reduce unwanted pets. We are here to help, so please contact us if there is anything we can do to assist you in having your pet spayed or neutered. We thank you for being a responsible friend to animals.
